Cam Site Private Shows: Complete Guide for Viewers (2026)

Private shows are the premium experience on cam sites — one-on-one time with your favorite model. But they can also get expensive quickly if you don't know how the system works. This guide covers pricing, etiquette, and how to get the most value from private sessions across all platforms.

On most platforms, you click "Start Private Show" on a model's profile and agree to the per-minute rate. Only you can see and interact with the model (though some platforms offer "spy" or "voyeur" mode where others can watch at a reduced rate). The show ends when you click stop or run out of tokens.

Chaturbate: 6-90 tokens/min (model sets the rate, average ~30 tokens/min ≈ $3/min). Stripchat: 8-120 tokens/min. LiveJasmin: 1-5 credits/min ($1-5/min, most models ~$3/min). BongaCams: varies, typically 30-60 tokens/min. CamSoda: 6-90 tokens/min. Compare token costs: Token Calculator.

Chat with the model in public first — build rapport before going private. Ask about their menu or limits before starting. Have enough tokens for at least 10-15 minutes. Be respectful and communicate clearly. Models remember generous, respectful viewers and often provide better experiences for regulars.

Tip-controlled shows in public rooms offer interactive experiences at lower cost. Group shows (where multiple viewers split the cost) are available on Stripchat and CamSoda. Spy/voyeur mode lets you watch someone else's private show at a lower per-minute rate. Fan clubs often include exclusive content and discounted private rates.

Free options: Chaturbate free tokens | Stripchat free tokens | BongaCams free tokens.

Your camera is never on during private shows (unless you enable cam2cam). Models cannot see your real name — only your username. Recordings are typically not allowed. For payment privacy, consider crypto payments. Full safety guide: cam site safety tips.
