Stripchat "Account Hidden" or Stream Not Loading? How to Fix It
What the Account Hidden message means on Stripchat and how to fix a stream that will not load, has no sound, lags or will not let you chat. Steps from Stripchat's own help centre.
Why can't I watch a model on Stripchat?
There are two different cases. If you see the message "Account Hidden", the model has restricted your country or region and nothing on your side is broken. If the page opens but the video will not play, the cause is usually the browser, an extension, a VPN or the connection, and the steps below fix most of it.
The stream will not load. What should I try?
Stripchat's own order of steps:
- Reload the page.
- Update the browser to its latest version. Internet Explorer versions before 11 are not supported.
- Switch off ad blockers and browser extensions. They can block the video player.
- Clear the browser's cookies and cache.
- Restart the device and try a different connection, for example a cable if you were on Wi-Fi.
- Make sure you are not using a VPN.

Stripchat is not working or shows a server error. What now?

How do I know if my connection is the problem?

These are the minimum results Stripchat expects:
- Ping: less than 200 ms
- Jitter: less than 4 ms
- Download: more than 4 Mbps
- Upload: more than 4 Mbps

The video plays but there is no sound. How do I fix it?
Check the sound button on the player first and make sure it is not muted. Then check the device volume: on Windows through the sound icon at the bottom right of the screen, on a Mac under System Preferences, Sound, Output Volume. The stream is delayed or keeps buffering. Can I change that?
Yes, with Low Latency mode. It is the lightning icon in the player and is also in the settings menu. Switched on, it cuts the delay between the model's camera and your screen to 0.5 seconds. I can watch but I cannot chat. Why?
In public chat there are two reasons: you were temporarily banned for spamming, or the model has limited the chat to users with verified accounts or with tokens. What if the stream fails during a private show?
Leave the show immediately and leave a comment describing what happened. For an Exclusive Private with your own camera, check that the camera and microphone are connected and switched on, allowed in the browser and running current drivers.
