Stripchat has grown into one of the best-known cam sites. With that growth comes scrutiny — is it safe to use? We went through Stripchat's own help centre (read 12 October 2026), as we did for Chaturbate and BongaCams, and separated what the site publishes from what it does not.
Who Owns Stripchat?
Stripchat's help centre lists Technius Ltd among the names that can appear on your statement, which is the company name the site ties to its billing. The current company details are given in the terms of service, linked in the site footer.
Payment Security
Charges do not show as "Stripchat". The help centre lists these statement names: EPOCH.COM *Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat, Paymentico.com, centrobill.com and Technius Ltd. Card and PayPal purchases require account verification: either a small card hold under $2 that is released, or an ID document reviewed within 24 hours. Privacy Protection
Like every cam site, Stripchat sees your IP address and stores what you give it, so use a separate email and a username unrelated to your real name. Two-factor authentication is available. Ultimate members can tip anonymously. Deleting an account (Settings and Privacy → Delete Account) deactivates it at once; the data is permanently deleted automatically after 18 months, and until then the account can be restored by logging in and following an emailed link. The privacy policy, linked in the site footer, has the current wording on how your data is handled.
Known Concerns
The practical concerns are deadlines and limits. A complaint about a show or a tip has to be made within 48 hours, and a private show longer than 5 minutes cannot be fully refunded. "Deleted" also does not mean gone straight away: your data stays for 18 months before it is removed. As always, use unique passwords and enable 2FA.
Verdict: Safe with Standard Precautions
Stripchat is safe to use with ordinary precautions: it publishes its billing names, a refund policy, an account deletion process and two-factor authentication.
