How Do I Set Up OBS for Chaturbate? Stream Key and Settings

Download OBS Studio, copy the broadcast token from your Chaturbate broadcast page into OBS as the stream key, choose Chaturbate as the service and click Start Streaming. Chaturbate recommends starting at 720p with a video bitrate of 3000 kbps and adjusting from there. Source: How do I set up OBS?

• Open the Broadcast Yourself tab.
• If the in-browser broadcaster page appears, click "Use External Encoder to Broadcast".
• Click "View RTMP/OBS broadcast information and stream key".
• Click "Generate New Token" if you have not generated one yet.
• Copy the broadcast token, the long grey string of letters and numbers.
• Paste it into the Stream Key field on the Stream tab of the OBS settings.

• Settings > Stream: tick "Show all services", pick Chaturbate from the Service list, choose the server "Default Global Auto Select - Recommended" and enter your stream key.
• Output: video bitrate 3000.
• Video: base and output resolution 1280x720, 30 FPS.
• Camera: in Sources click the plus icon, choose Video Capture Device and select your camera.

• 853x480: 800 to 1200 kbps video, 96 kbps audio.
• 1024x576: 1200 to 3000 kbps video, 96 kbps audio.
• 1280x720: 3000 to 5000 kbps video, 96 kbps audio.
• 1920x1080: 5000 to 8000 kbps video, 128 kbps audio.
• 2560x1440: 8000 to 12000 kbps video, 192 kbps audio.
• 3840x2160: 12000 to 20000 kbps video, 192 kbps audio.

Each row is for 24 to 30 FPS. Do not use a resolution higher than your camera's, and do not upscale. For the encoder, Chaturbate prefers Quicksync over NVENC over software x264 where the computer supports them, because the first two use the GPU instead of the CPU. Source: How do I set up OBS?

Click Start Streaming in OBS. Your room goes online at that moment, whether or not you are logged in to Chaturbate. The player window shows the status, for example "Your OBS stream is currently public".

To finish, click Stop Streaming in OBS. Closing the Chaturbate browser tab or logging out does not end the broadcast. Source: How do I set up OBS?

• "Could not access the specified channel or stream key": check that you copied the token correctly and that it is the most recent one. Also stop the in-browser broadcaster, because you cannot stream with OBS while broadcasting from the browser.
• "Your OBS stream is currently offline": click Stop Streaming, wait a few seconds and click Start Streaming again. Check the token as well.
• Dropped frames from the CPU: move the encoder preset in the Output settings to a faster level such as superfast. If that does not help, lower the resolution.
• Status turns yellow, orange or red: your connection cannot carry the chosen bitrate. Lower the bitrate, which may mean lowering the resolution.

Update OBS first through Help > Check For Updates. In Settings, on the General tab, tick "Make projectors always on top". Then right-click your video in OBS and choose "Windowed Projector (preview)".
