Can Cam Models See You on Chaturbate and Stripchat?

Only if you turn your own camera on for them. On Chaturbate that feature is called Cam To Cam, on Stripchat it is a Cam2Cam show, and in both cases you start it yourself. Until you do, your camera is not shared with anyone.

The details differ between the two sites, so each is covered below with a link to the help-centre page it comes from.

Cam To Cam shares your camera with the creator of the room you are in. It sends video only, with no audio. When you share, the creator gets a notice in their chat and has to accept before they see anything. While they are watching, an orange eye icon appears on your side. Chaturbate states that only the creator can see your camera, so other viewers in the room cannot. Source: What is Cam To Cam (C2C)?

To start it:

• On desktop: click Cam to Cam underneath the video.
• On mobile: tap the expand menu icon to the left of the chat bar and choose Cam to Cam from the Customize Show options.
• Allow camera access when the browser asks, then press start. The creator then has to click accept.

Because age verification laws require it. Chaturbate says Cam To Cam can only be used after you complete its age verification process, which it describes as streamlined. Source: What is Cam To Cam (C2C)?

On Stripchat, Cam2Cam is a paid type of private show. Press Start Private under the stream and then choose Cam2Cam show. Your webcam switches on and the model can see you. Nobody is allowed to spy on a Cam2Cam show. Either of you can end it at any moment, and it stops by itself if you run out of tokens.

The price is set by each model and runs from 8 to 250 tokens per minute. For what tokens cost in money, see our token price comparison. Source: What is Stripchat c2c (Cam2Cam) show?

Stripchat also has an Exclusive Private show with a Cam2Cam option. If you enable it there, the model can both see and hear you. Exclusive Privates cost 8 to 150 tokens per minute and cannot be spied on either. Source: What is an Exclusive Private show?

Only when the model has switched recording on, and you are told before you start. If the message "You can save this show" appears when you click Start Private, the show can be kept. When it ends, Stripchat asks whether you want to save it to My Collection, where you can watch it again. Recordings cannot be downloaded or saved to your device. Not during the free preview. A user with tokens can look into a private show free for the first 15 seconds, once per show. If you keep watching after that and pay the spying rate, the model sees that you are spying. If you send the model a private message while spying, the model also knows who you are. Browsers ask for permission before a site can use the camera or microphone. Chaturbate's advice is to choose "always allow" or "remember this decision" when the prompt appears, so you are not asked again every time. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera each have their own settings page for this. Source: How do I enable my camera and microphone in my browser?
